ARCTIC PASSION NEWS #26 (2025)
At Aker Arctic, we continue to advance icebreaker design and ice technology expertise. Our knowhow is our contribution to solve maritime challenges in icy waters. Recent efforts include contributions to the structural dimensioning in the Finnish-Swedish Ice Class Rules, demonstrating our exceptional understanding of ice and its influence on the technical solutions of ships. We are also committed to improving energy efficiency, which reduces construction and operational costs, lowers emissions, and allows for the use of greener fuels. As we shift from commercial winter navigation to governmental projects, we face new challenges that also present opportunities for growth and innovation.
